Outdoor Air Quality Monitoring

Air pollution measurement is becoming increasingly common world wide as more and more people are exposed to pollution caused by transport systems and industrial emissions. Transport systems are the leading producers of Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2). They are also the leading cause of surface level Ozone (O3) as well as Particulate Matter (PM10 & PM2.5).

Multi-sensor Systems

Aeroqual has developed the AQM60 and AQM10 Air Quality Stations that are capable of measuring and recording a multitude of environmental parameters so that mitigation strategies can be put into place to improve air quality conditions in the long term.

AQM 60 and AQM10 stations can be integrated with new or existing infrastructure, monitoring systems and communication interfaces.

Aeroqual manufactures a wide variety of application specific gas sensors and sensor modules.
In addition, Aeroqual integrates a range of gas and non-gas sensors into its range of products which are designed for use in ambient air applications.

Common Parameters / Pollutants Monitored

For applications involving roadside and urban monitoring, the most common parameters that are measured are:-

  • Carbon Monoxide (CO)
  • Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
  • Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5)

However with industrial and perimeter emissions, the common pollutants are:-

  • Carbon Monoxide (CO)
  • Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
  • Sulphur Dioxide (SO2)
  • Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S)
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
  • Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5)
